OMG!

I read Betrayed last and I am glad I did, it answered a lot of my questions. This book provides so many emotions, I felt for this family. Dave a man of God, never was in touch with his family, and he kept them divided. Dave knew how to run DMI, and loved God, but where family was concerned he did not have a clue. I wanted Dave to send up some powerful prayers for his family. The family needed God and counseling, but Andre needed it the most. I never understood how Dave could be with two women that did not share his vision with God. Madeline was the powerful momma Lion and Sherry was the weak lion. I like all the characters in the Mitchell series of books. OMG!!!!

"GOOD BOOK"

I read the book because her cousin, Kimberla Lawson-Roby recommended it. I read it in 2 days and thought it was well written with an unexpected surprise ending. No one should be disappointed when reading this!

Great Read

According to the Author, the Mitchell family drama was loosely based on the biblical story of King David who had God's unmerited favor. Dave Mitchell was a man of God but had unprecedented drama in his life because of his commitment to DMI, his company, and not his family. After having an affair with his secretary, his wife divorced him and move their four children out of the home. Subsequently, Dave married his mistress and the drama only became worse ending in the loss of life for two people. However, Dave never gave up on God and God's purpose for his life, even when everyone else was disparaging him about his faith.
I love this story; it was encouraging. Being a Christian does not mean life will not have difficulties, ups and downs, and hurts, but God is always present if we let Him in. Dave asked for forgiveness for his transgressions and he was willing to forgive those who wronged him. Thus, he was at peace with himself.
This was a great read and is recommended.
